From the outside, it was clear that this was a team of dedicated, creative, and determined professionals, and the opportunity to work with such a strong team was definitely a factor in my decision to join Orexigen. I also have a strong interest in obesity therapeutics and feel passionately that individuals who are trying to manage their weight deserve safe and effective medications that have been rigorously studied - being at Orexigen allows me to participate in the design and conduct of these studies, and hopefully will lead to better therapeutic options for the millions of patients who struggle to manage their weight."
